Have you seen most of the plus-size sections out there? It’s horrifying. Whoever’s designing for plus-size doesn’t get it. The entire garment needs to be reconceived. You can’t just take a size 8 and make it larger. In my travels, I’ve been an advocate for larger women. I’ve been talking to designers, but only a half-dozen make an effort. Most say, ‘I don’t want a woman who’s a size 10 or 11 wearing my clothes.’ Well, shame on you! It’s not realistic. We need to address real women with real needs.

I think this bill goes to the farthest extreme in trying to take women down, not just a peg, but take them in shackles to some cave somewhere. Twenty-five years ago, this body passed [The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)], a bill that basically said that anyone that shows up at an emergency room would access health care, no questions asked. Now, my colleagues on the other side of the aisle want to amend that law and basically say, ‘Oh, except for a woman who is in need of an abortion, or except for a woman who is bleeding to death who happens to be pregnant. Or except for a woman who is miscarrying.’ Basically, what this bill would do is say that any hospital could decline to provide services to one class of people in this country and that one class of people are pregnant women.

we were not made to build this city up: I've said this before and I'll say it again, I'm so sick of this feeling within the FA movement that every time we speak...

No shit. But as long as “wow you look thin today!” is a compliment, as long as thin people don’t have to scour a city to find a store that fits them, don’t have to pay more for every article of clothing they buy, have to worry that the mere act of sitting next to someone on an…

She came a long way from being the “nastiest girl in Sunnydale history” to becoming a hero in her own right.  Making sacrifices in her life so she could stick by Angel and fight the good fight, helping the hopeless.  Cordelia Chase was the heart of Angel.  Without her, everything fell apart.
IDK, I just felt like putting that out there.

And she looked smokin’ hot doing it, too!

I WILL TELL YOU I WILL TELL YOU. This is a story~~.

I will not lie to you - I hated C/A for a while. Well, I can’t remember if I hated it but I certainly didn’t like it. I didn’t get it, I didn’t understand its meaning, its source, its purpose. And I didn’t really understand why the…
